Inpatient Coding 101
|

Coding Seminar - Two Days - This course is designed to provide an introduction and overview into the realm of inpatient coding. Participants will learn coding principles and proper procedures for accurate code assignment.
If you are currently performing outpatient or emergency room coding and would like to gain the tools and skills needed for inpatient coding - please join us.
Prerequisite: Knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes and anatomy and physiology.

CCS "Cram Course"
|
|
Coding Seminar - 2 days - This course (split in 2 sessions: ICD-9-CM and CPT) covers all aspects of the CCS examination including typical test questions, format of the test, discussion of answers and the thought behind the answers.
Prerequisite: Experience in coding inpatient records or coding the hospital portion of ambulatory surgery and emergency room care.

ICD-10 is around the corner... are you ready?
This seminar is designed to provide participants with information and rationale for transitioning to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS
This course will discuss:
- Educational timeline for ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS
- Code Structure and Format of New System
- Compare and contrast ICD-9-CM/PCS and ICD-10/PCS

ICD-10-CM/PCS Training Module Program
|
|
This is an interactive comprehensive modular program which will enable the attendees to accurately assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes upon completion. This program will provide the attendees the tools, work skills and groundwork needed to successfully transition from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM/PCS.
Modules 1 and 2 are the pre-requisite for attending the in-depth body system modules being offered.
Module 1 - Comprehensive training session for ICD-10 Diagnostic Coding. The attendee will learn how to assign ICD-10 Diagnostic codes by using the most current coding guidelines. The differences between ICD-9 and ICD-10 will be reviewed along with chapter specific coding guidelines. At completion of this module, the attendees will be familiar with ICD-10 book, format and navigation.
Module 2 - Comprehensive training session for ICD-10 Procedure Coding. The attendees will learn how to accurately assign ICD-10 procedure codes by using root operations and approaches.
All participants attending Modules 1 and 2 will receive the AHIMA Pocket Guide of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS - A $20 value

Six (6) in-depth chapter-specific body system modules are also being offered to expand upon the knowledge obtained from the first 2 modules which will include anatomy and physiology of each body system.
Each Module is 6 AHIMA CEUs (for a total of 8 classes- 48 CEUs)
