NJPR President & CEO is Awarded NJHIMA Lifetime Volunteer Award

Please join NJPR in congratulating our President & CEO, Barbara J. Parmese, on receiving the Lifetime Volunteer Award from the New Jersey Health Information Management Association (NJHIMA). In the year in which NJPR celebrates its 45th anniversary, Barbara’s well-deserved recognition makes it all the more special.
The New Jersey Health Information Management Association (NJHIMA) is a non-profit component state association (CSA) of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and has over 1,700 members. NJHIMA supports and promotes HIM professionals by advancing best practices through education, technology, professional development, leadership, advocacy, and communication.
Barbara has been a volunteer for NJHIMA for more than 25 years and has served on its Board since the late 1990’s serving as Chair or Co-Chair of the Annual Meeting Committee.
Barbara has been at NJPR since 1980 and has served as President since 2000. We are grateful for her hard work, dedication, integrity and consistency every day, and we are elated NJHIMA has recognized her as the knowledgeable, dedicated leader for the entire New Jersey health information management community she is.
